The club recently celebrated its 40th anniversary at its annual changeover dinner and it was a night to remember.
Two charter members were on hand to cut the anniversary cake, which recognised all of the achievements of the past four decades.
Representatives from different organisations in the town were present, with others travelling from Darlington Point, Hillston, Griffith, Narrandera and Leeton to take part.
As part of the celebrations, the club kept with tradition and donated funds back to the community.
This year recipients included the Leeton Neighbourhood Watch committee, Kurrajong Waratah, Can Assist and Yanco Miniature Trains.
“All recipients were grateful to have been able to receive much-needed funds that allows them to continue the work in the local community,” club secretary Sue Ryan said.
Buster Ryan will take on another year as president, while Allan Stott is treasurer.
“The club has been very lucky to have secured three new members this year already,” Mrs Ryan said.
“Two of our new members Helen Macarthur and Richard Binder have even accepted positions within the club.”
In Mr Ryan’s president’s report for the year he thanked members and friends for their hard work and dedication to the club.
