Leeton weekly golf wrap, Aust 10, 2017


MEN: Wednesday wackers winner with a great score was Kerry Dowley on 47 points, and runner-up was Dennis Hughes with 41 points.

Nearest the pins were 4th Margaret Webb 6th Barry Lang and 13th Bert Dale, ball comp went to 37 points.

There was no ladies comp last Wednesday.

Men’s August monthly medal was played on Saturday and A Grade winner was Bailey Stanmore with 71 nett.

Runner-up was Scott Turner 74 on a count back.

B Grade winner and also monthly medalist was Anthony Rudd with 69 nett runner up was David Lang with 71 on a count back.

C Grade was Rod Emerson 70 nett and runner up was Alan Jackson on 71 nett.

Nearest the pins were 4th John Martin, 6th Nathan Cassilies 13th Jack Howe and 15th Rodd Tait.

Drive and chip  A Grade Skinner and B Grade Jamie Brown and C Grade a skinner, ball comp went to 74 nett.


LADIES: Ladies played August monthly medal and A grade winner also monthly medal winner was Helen Robinson 69 nett and runner-up was Jacki Walsh 71 nett.

B Grade winner Chris Harrison 70 nett runner up Talice Rudd 72 nett.

Nearest the pins 4th Serena Jablonskis 13th Jacki Walsh and 15th Nola Oreilly ball comp went to 72 nett.

Veterans golf was not played on Monday,  August 7.


YANCO: Yanco social golfers played the August monthly medal on the weekend, with Serena Jablonskis coming away the winner. 

Jablonskis was also the B grade winner with 43 nett, while Jamie Brown took out A grade with 49 nett on a countback. 

Jablonskis took out the nearest the pin on the 15th. 

Drive and chip winners were A Bush in B grade and Brown in the opens.

P Fraser won the longest drive and R Emerson the putting competition. 

The ball competition went to Emerson, Frank Mercuri, and S Killen with 50 the cut off. 

There will be no golf this weekend.
