Two interesting matches will be played out in A grade, with third playing fourth when Narrandera take on the Phantoms.
Last weekend the Phantoms were able to put in a solid run chase against Yanco Club, but losing their last three wickets for five runs didn’t aid their case.
However, if the Phantoms can fix up some of their fielding errors from last weekend and value their wicket they could be well in the hunt against their favoured opponents.
For the first time in many seasons, Narrandera aren’t sitting in the top two positions, but the club is every chance of still making the one-day grand final, which will be played early next year.
They must continue their winning ways after gaining a confidence-building victory over the L&D CC Ferrets last weekend.
In the other A grade game, the Leeton Soldiers Club Colts return to Mark Taylor Oval having not played for almost three weeks.
The bottom-placed Colts are desperately hoping they can put together some form when they take on the Stags on Saturday. Yanco has a solid, all-round team, but the Colts have proven they can match it with the top teams if they put their minds to it.
In the field both teams can take wickets, but when it comes to putting runs on the boards, the Colts struggle to build and maintain partnerships. Yanco will be the favourites going in.
