There’s plenty on offer in Leeton shire this year to celebrate.
Kicking things off will be barbecue breakfasts at Yanco, Murrami and Leeton.
This will be followed by the traditional Australia Day awards ceremony in Mountford Park at 9.15am where all of the shire’s most outstanding achievers will be recognised.
The sportsperson of the year awards will also be a highlight during the ceremony.
A six-a-side cricket tournament has been organised by Leeton SunRice Festival Ambassador Quest entrant Lauren Brett at the town ovals, starting from early morning.
Those who aren’t playing are encouraged to head down for a look and a laugh.
