The menu was expansive and many of the 200 lunchers admitted to struggling to fit in all of the deliciousness that was on offer.
Over the course of almost four hours, some of the food on offer included antipasto platters, lasagna, veal, chicken, salad, gelato and more.
Leeton SunRice Festival director Julie Axtill said it was the best longest lunch to date.
“There’s 200 people here … it was sold out,” she said.
“It’s great to see the community getting behind this event.
“We’ve got the park here as a fantastic backdrop and it’s just a really fun community event as part of the festival.”
The food was cooked by Leeton’s many seasoned Italian cooks, leaving attendees headed for a food coma and in need of a nap before the end of the day.
Those in charge of getting the menu onto the plate worked hard to do so, which was evident by spending even just five minutes in the hot kitchen.
