The bike was stolen from the rear shed of Leeton’s Post Office overnight, with the thief taking nothing else.
Police are asking anyone who sees a red Honda postie bike riding around to call Leeton Police Station.
In other news, officers from Murrumbidgee Police District are asking people to be wary of romance scams after a MIA resident came forward detailing a case of an internet love story gone awry.
Inspector Nick Seddon urged MIA residents to be careful when looking for love on internet sites, and said never give money to someone you haven’t met before.
“I wanted to alert people to the fact they have to be very careful on internet dating sites,” he said.
“Some residents have been romanced and then asked for money. We want people to be aware that there are those out there who will take advantage and ask for a lot of money.”
“If you have any questions feel free to call the police and ask a general question. We are always happy to help.”
