I have had many visits and comments from visitors to our town about the artistic vibe we have in our small community. It would be fantastic to see a few more local faces in the gallery to see what’s happening.
We are very lucky to have an amazing amount of talent which is evident from the Art Society display at Go Lo pop up shop among other art displays along the main street and the many students that come though my classes each term.
The Western Riverina Arts are holding a networking night connecting local artists with our community on Wednesday, June 6 at 6pm.
On Saturday, June 2 from 10am to 2pm the Art Society will hold the Biggest Morning Tea and Art Exhibition at the Multipurpose Centre. It would be a good morning to go along, have a cuppa and support cancer research.
Hape Kiddle, a Yenda jewellery artist and sculptor is organising a show with Narrandera Arts in July which will be involving different artists and redgum slabs! Interesting.
ArtisAnn Art Expression classes are running. Monday and Tuesday nights 6.30pm to 9.30pm and Wednesday mornings 9.30am to 12.30pm. These classes are full and run for 6 weeks.
Each term we see beginners who have always wanted to try their hand at painting. It is very social.
Next classes start in in August and beginners are welcome. I am liaising with a disability group to run weekly workshops which should be fun.
