The young crows side come off a tough 14 point loss against the Lions over the weekend, but a strong showing from the side in the final quarter kept their opponents goalless.
Crows Coach Jade Hodge said while the last few weeks have been disappointing, he’s confident in his side’s ability to win on the weekend.
“We’re confident going into the weekend. Over the last few weeks we’ve had a couple of disappointing losses where we probably should have got the win but I think we’ve put things in place that will hold us in good stead,” he said.
“Hopefully we can go over there and get a win. It’s always tough against Coolamon, so it should be a good game.”
After four losses this season, Hodge said the coming weeks will prove crucial in setting out the club’s prospects for the rest of the season.
“We need to win. We’ve made no secrets about that over the last few games. We need it to hold ourselves in good stead toward the end of the year and keep us in contention for the finals,” he said.
“If we want to be playing finals footy, we definitely need to be winning these games.”
Hodge is confident the team is up to task, as shown in a strong last quarter performance against GGGM last week.

He said the side – who had around 12 first game players this season – need to work on maintaining a consistent level of play for four quarters.
“It’s the style of footy we know we can play, it’s just about keeping it consistent,” he said.
“We’ve shown we can play the style of footy we have played in patches, it’s just a matter of nominating how we’re doing that and to keep doing that on a regular basis.”
Leeton Whitton will take on Coolamon Rovers on Saturday, June 16.
