The Hawks were back at Yanco Sportsground and were on their game from the start, scoring early in the first half before piling on another two tries.
However, the Panthers were able to slow the scoring as the first half wore on and get some points of their own on the board.
It wasn’t enough as Yanco-Wamoon registered a 50-36 win and found themselves jumping into fifth spot on the Group 20 ladder.
The Hawks were playing several men down, but their good start helped them to get over the line.
This weekend they will enjoy a weekend off thanks to the bye before returning in round 12 to take on the Waratah Tigers.
Greens lament loss
LEETON travelled the long road to Lake Cargelligo on Sunday hoping to replicate their recent winning form against the Sharks.
This time around they faced a strong outfit ready to show why they are the top team in the competition at the moment, with Leeton going down 42-28.
The Greens scored first on the day through Dan Hyde and did match the Sharks for plenty of the game, but were unable to stem the flow of tries from the home side.
