A 69-YEAR-OLD man was airlifted to Canberra Hospital late on Monday afternoon following an horrific accident.

The victim was assisting with an irrigation project at a property on Euroley Road on Monday afternoon around 3.05pm when heavy irrigation pipes fell from a truck.
The man had been assisting in loading the pipes, but two fell from the bed of the truck, hitting the man in the head and stomach.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and the man was taken to the Narrandera-Leeton Airport where he was then airlifted to Canberra.
He remains in a critical, but stable condition.
