A loss to Ag College last Saturday means the Phantoms are playing for their season from here on out.
Lose this weekend against Tumut and they go out in straight sets.
A win however, will see them through to another preliminary final where they will either take on Aggies once again or premiership favourites in the Wagga Waratahs.
Club president Tim Allen said the side was feeling confident ahead of the must-win game against Tumut.
“I think our biggest problem last week was we didn’t finish off the game … the last 20 minutes was where the Aggies really took control,” he said.

“This week if we can finish off properly and work on our ball retention, we’re pretty confident we can win.”
The Phantoms aren’t expecting to make any changes to last weekend’s line up, but will possibly assess the injured Noa Rabici at training on Thursday night.
Meanwhile, the Dianas will also play in the second week of the finals after they defeated Tumut last weekend 20-17 following a try in the dying seconds of the match.
This weekend they will face Wagga Waratahs, with Allen – who is co-coach of the Dianas – hopeful their form will continue.
“It’s no secret we are in a rebuilding phase this year, so we always said we wanted to make the first week of finals and go from there,” he said.
“It was very exciting for the girls to win. Their intensity was fantastic and they just kept pushing all game.”
The women’s sevens side has several youngsters in their ranks this year, with many never having played before the current season.
“Whatever happens, we couldn’t be more proud of how far the girls have come this year,” Allen said.
