The win kept Leeton in sixth spot, just outside of the top five, one point behind the Griffith Black and Whites.
Leeton ran in nine tries on Sunday afternoon, converting five of them, while the Magpies crossed the line four times.
The Greens needed to win in order to keep their slim chance of slipping into fifth spot on the ladder ahead of the finals.
With just one round remaining, Leeton are still up against it.
More weekend sport:
They must win this weekend against the top-placed Yenda Blueheelers, but they will also require the Black and Whites to lose their fixture against the Waratah Tigers.
It’s not impossible for Leeton to defeat the Blueheelers, but they will need to be at the top of their game.
