“Brodie’s Bounce” was held for the first time in 2017 in aid of Pete Minchin, an Ardlethan resident suffering from cancer.
The idea was for people to bounce any kind of ball all the way from Ardlethan to Mirrool before the small town’s annual silo kick gets underway.
Due to the success and popularity of last year’s event, this year Brodie’s Bounce is on again and raising money in the name of the late Rebecca Baker, who lost her battle with cancer earlier this year.

Mrs Baker was an integral part of the Mirrool community and also worked as a speech pathologist in Leeton.
Brodie encouraged the wider MIA community to again take part.
“On October 13, the group will take on the challenge of walking while bouncing a ball (optional) from Ardlethan to Mirrool,” he said.
“The 21.8 kilometre walk will start at 7.30am from the Lions Park in Ardlethan, go via Beckom where we will stop for refreshments before heading on down to Mirrool, to participate in the annual silo kick activities.
“The walk is expected to take around three-and-a-half hours.”
People can walk, relay, bounce a footy, journey for the whole or part of the distance, with bus assistance available on the day.
Entry is by donation or sponsorship.
Residents can also donate to the cause via a bank account.
