And they will forever be combined thanks to a grant from the Royal Agricultural Society and sponsor support.
Leeton Show Society and president Elizabeth Munn were successful in applying for a RAS grant that has been used to buy a trailer for Young Farmer Challenge and dog jumping competitions.
“We got some money from the RAS and a couple of local sponsors,” Miss Munn said.
“Having the trailer means we can store our equipment in it for the farmer challenge, as well as renting it out to other show societies.”
The dog jump competition is a new addition to show activities this year and will be held in two categories - under 30cm and over 30cm.
“I don’t think it has ever run, or not recently,” Miss Munn said.
“There’s two sections and two sets of jumps. We want to try and fit in the little dogs, we want with any dog to enter. It’s a really fun event.”
In the Young Farmer Challenge, teams of up to four people complete a series of farming-style tasks. The winner is the team that completes all challenges correctly in the fastest time.
