Vic and Sarah hope to focus on community mental health and suicide prevention.
REGIONAL Express (REX) was approached by Narrandera and Leeton Shire Councils with a view to obtaining the equivalent of the Griffith/Sydney cheaper fare rate between Narrandera/Leeton and Sydney.
Following the signing of a partnership agreement between the shires and REX, commuters leaving Narrandera/Leeton airport for Sydney will pay $129 on 25 per cent of total seats, booked at least 30 plus days prior to departure.
Travellers are chuffed by the substantial saving on the original fare.
JULIE Payne was farewelled by fellow Narrandera Hospital staff upon her recent retirement.
Julie worked at the hospital for over nine years and enjoyed her job and the interaction she had with patients and staff.
She will await the retirement of her husband, Brian, before contemplating serious travel. In the meantime, she will content herself with church commitments and ukulele classes.
