The kids were able to run their hands through slime, jelly, kinetic sand, and run amok through tunnels filled with fog and disco balls.
Event organiser Heidi Heath said the day was a "fantastic success" for both the kids and the adults, some of whom joined in the fray.
"The fun run is a great opportunity for all students with disabilities and without disabilities to have fun and interact together," Ms Heath said.
"A lot of our children have sensory processing disorders, and it's a huge thing for them to walk through the sprinklers and play with the paint and the crazy silly string."
The event was really well organised, the children all enjoyed themselves, and all in all it was a fantastic day.

There was scented slime to engage the sense of smell and there were different wind chimes to engage the sense of sound.
Even the snacks were sensory themed, with fluffy cotton candy contrasting with the icy slushies and hot barbecue sausages.
All of the students were able to take part, including the wheelchair students who were given the challenge of navigating over rough and smooth surfaces.
The sensory fun run was followed up by a colour run around the school, and the kids’ white t-shirts were thoroughly splattered by the end of the day.
"The day is all about other schools experiencing the sensory opportunities that we have at Gralee, and also to promote what we have to offer as a special school in Leeton," Ms Heath said.
The fun run was organised by Gralee School, but it also included students from all across the area including Yanco Public, Wamoon Public, Leeton High, St Joseph's Primary, Kalinda School, and daycare centres.
Wamoon Public kindergarten teacher Liz Taylor said she and her student enjoyed the chance to run around and get their hands dirty.
"I joined in the colour run with some of the students and it was a lot of fun having all the powder being thrown around," Ms Taylor said.
