THE search is on for a passenger who police say deliberately avoided a taxi fare this week.

The passenger caught the taxi from a bottle shop in Banna Avenue in Griffith to Railway Avenue in Leeton, arriving around 6pm on Monday.
The person agreed to pay the $175 fare and said they had cash inside a house.
However, after going inside to get the money, the man didn’t return and seemingly “disappeared” from the area.
Police are looking into the matter.

Keep an eye out for vandals
POLICE have asked residents to keep an eye out for two offenders who were allegedly seen tagging several areas with spray paint.
The offenders, who were only described as being male, were spotted in Ashton Lane about 1am on November 24.
Police allege they were seen spray painting fences in the area with the tags “yubby” and Vicky”.
