In the first set, Liz Taylor and Victoria Tapuvae started well for Locals, with some consistent serving and setting up their teammates Wahi Paw, Sai Ratudrada and young sub Hamish Johnstone, to finish off the set 25-21.
With Paul Ta’avao and Faasolo Tapuvae continuing the Locals’ form in the second set, they again proved too strong, winning the set comfortably on 25-15.
Petero Taitusi and Tommy Patelesio worked hard and combined well with Sara and Teala Howe, to get the High Tree Patrol on the board and they went on to win the third set 25-18.
When their teammates Matt Pilosio, Billy and Katie Conroy started the fourth set well with some better passing, it was looking like an epic fifth set battle was on the cards.
But it was some smarter play by the more experienced Locals players who finished off the set 25-22 and therefore winning the match 3-1.
Best players for the grand final were Faasolo Tapuvae, Tommy Patelsio and Liz Taylor.

IN THE division one grand final, Faithful proved too strong for Tree Surgeons in an exciting match.
There were some great displays of strong serving by both teams in the match.
However, it was the high-quality spiking throughout the match by the Faithful team that ended up being the difference on the night.
Tree Surgoens started the match well with some good serving by Petero Taitusi, Grant Johnstone and Declan Ryan, holding on to win 25-23.
The second set started with Sean Ryan, Billy Conroy and Josh Martin doing their best to set up gun players Taitusi and Tommy Patelesio, but the excellent team play and serving shown by Wahi Paw and Moji Waqa helped Faithful snatch the lead and win 25-23.
Sai Ratudrada, Faasolo Tapuvae, Paul Ta’avao and Marika Banuvae then gave the spectators some excitement, with great displays of spiking and all-round strength at the net.
The Tree Surgeons had no answers and the Faithful went on to win the last two sets 25-20, 25-19 and the match 3-1.
Best players were Sai Ratudrada, Petero Taitusi and Wahi Paw.
