A FIVE-YEAR-OLD girl required facial surgery after being bitten by a dog at a party in Leeton on the weekend.

The young girl was attending the party in Parkview when she was bitten by a Bull Mastiff, receiving several lacerations to her face.
She was taken to Leeton District Hospital before being transported to Wagga where she underwent surgery.
Police said from all reports the surgery “went well” and the girl was now recovering.
The matter is now in the hands of Leeton Shire Council rangers.

Thief on the radar
POLICE are hunting for a thief who stole a vehicle parked in Leeton over the weekend.
The Mitsubishi Triton utility was taken some time between 9pm on December 15 and 6.30am the following day for a home in Teak Street.
The vehicle was last seen being driven by a male wearing a black hoodie and was later recovered in Tharbogang.
Police have appealed to anyone who has information to either contact the Leeton station or Crime Stoppers.
