The man bought a ticket in the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1189 on December 31 and has picked up a cool $200,000.
He got the call that he had won on the way to a New Year’s Eve party.
“I’m excited! I’m on my way to a friend’s place for New Year’s Eve. What a great way to finish off 2018. It makes my good year great,” he said.
“I’ve only been playing Lucky Lotteries for about a year and a half!
“It’s very good news to finish the year on.”
The plans are do now do some renovations on his own and his mum’s houses.
“It’s something we’ve been wanting to do for a while.”
The winner who wishes remain anonymous bought the ticket at Leeton Pharmacy.
“It’s beautiful! Congratulations to our winner. What a great time of year to win,” pharmacy team member Amanda Pippia said.
“We sold a division one winning entry a year or so ago but hopefully this win is a sign of many more to come.”
Last year was a significant one for lottery wins in the MIA with a Leeton grandmother bringing home $1 million and a Griffith resident collecting $2 million.
