Riverina police are pleading for public assistance as they investigate the death of 15-year-old boy found on a rural roadside.
Braydon Worldon’s body was found by a passing motorist on River Road, Wantabadgery on December 19 after 1am.
Detective Acting Inspector Phill Malligan said Strike Force Dunstable had been created to investigate the death.
“Led by the NSW Police Crash Investigation Unit with assistance by staff from the Riverina Police District,” he said.
“Any assistance from the public in relation to what happened to Braydon will be dealt with in the strictest of confidences.”
Police said he was last seen alive at 7pm on Tuesday.
“The young fellow would have been starting school at the end of the month,” Inspector Malligan said.
“Unfortunately he was tragically killed.
“From post-mortem examination results, it appears he was hit by a vehicle.”
After Braydon’s body was discovered, his mother, Crystal Worldon, paid tribute to him, saying “he was very kindhearted and always worried about everyone else before him”.
