Mr Milvain’s community service record is long and far-reaching.
Having just turned 80, he remains the president of the Yanco Hall Committee.
Over the years he has been the chairman of the Yanco Public School and Leeton High School P&C, a race starter for the Leeton Swim Club, a member of the Police South West region Country Customer Service Council and a volunteer at St Vincent de Paul.
“I’m a bit shocked,” he said.
“I’ve done all of it because I want to help people.
“We need more people to come and join some of the committees.

“It’s very rewarding. This is a really big honour.”
Proving Mr Milvain is a man of many talents and enjoys being involved with all aspects of the community, he is also a member of the Leeton Show Society, which he was made a life member of in 2017.
He has assisted Leeton Shire Council in various areas, including its building and infrastructure advisory and flood management committees.
Most recently, Mr Milvain, in association with council, has overseen the implementation, construction, completion and partial funding for the new Yanco water park in his role hall committee president.
