The second of the two occurred on Friday and could easily have resulted in severe injuries or even worse at the Murrami Road and Main Road 80 crossroad.
It follows on from another serious accident late last year involving a mother and her children.
Leeton Shire Council has announced it has received funding to install "traffic calming devices" on Murrami Road at the Murrami Road and Irrigation Way Intersection (Main Road 80).
The funding received from NSW government has seen rumble strips installed on the road on both the north and south approaches to the intersection.
The strips are a series of raised strips installed along the roadway.
Leeton Shire Council road safety officer Steph Puntoriero said the installation aimed to create both a visual and audible effect on drivers as they approach the upcoming intersection, alerting them to slow down and give-way.
While mayor Paul Maytom, who is a long-running road safety advocate, was pleased the rumble strips had been installed, he was hopeful more work would be done in the future to make the intersection safer.
"We obviously hear about these serious accidents that are happening and there does seem to be more of them," he said.
"However, there are many near-misses and we need to be hearing about those.
"A case needs to be made for an upgrade of this intersection.

"I think we (council) and the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) can be finding a more obvious solution."
The intersection comes under the jurisdiction of the RMS, with more signage installed in the area in recent times as well.
However, the long stretch of Murrami Road is what often leads drivers to become complacent and not realise they are approaching a major intersection.
"This is why I think a more permanent upgrade needs to happen to slow drivers down and really have them pay attention," Cr Maytom said.
The rumble strips were installed on Thursday.
