Leeton coach Seru Rogo admitted his side were scrappy but they still proved too strong for arch rivals Griffith to start their season on Saturday.

The Phantoms, featuring three new players from Fiji, led 21-0 at half-time at Leeton No.1 Oval and extended their advantage to 33-7 before the Blacks crossed for two late tries.
Rogo was still pleased with a 33-19 win.
"It was good," Rogo said.
"We will take that win.
"It was a scrappy game and Griffith and Leeton is always a tough game to coach.
"The scoreline doesn't say much but it was the first game of the year."
Mesu Navakayla was among the best for the Phantoms while newcomer Eroni Naua was strong at number eight.
