In a round one statement to the rest of the competition, Tigers proved far too good for the Crows, winning 22.11 (143) to 8.5 (53) at Leeton Showground.
Tigers broke the game open with a seven-goal second quarter and never looked back from.
Tigers' five best players were all either new or returning players, with Sam Ryan, Jesse Manton, Bailey Wileman, Tom Osmotherly and Tom Keogh all starring in the win.
Leeton-Whitton lost new coach Daniel Muir in the opening quarter to a dislocated shoulder and he did not return for the day.
Wagga Tigers coach Troy Maiden was rapt with the result.
"It's not easy to go to Leeton, win and win well so from that point of view it was good," Maiden said.
"I thought we moved the footy fairly well. We turned the footy over a bit at times but we'll work on that."
Ben Kelly kicked five goals for Tigers, while Nick Ryan also bagged four.
Angus Boulton and Coopa Steele both impressed for Leeton-Whitton in a tough day at the office for the club.
