Captain Barry Hehir would be pleased with his side's win after narrowly losing last week to the Griffith team.
After losing the first two singles games Andrew Oram got back on the winner's list by nine and Darrell Quinn had a giant killing 53 to 16 win. Peter Tiffin beat one the game's best no.6 players 43 to 33.
The Auto Gear Team was taken by surprise after winning the first two games and looked to put another win away but it's only early in the season .
Steve Ashton, Michael Garlick and Michael McColl all had very comfortable games but the team couldn't win any doubles games and lost some close matches.
The second upset of the week happen when last year's premiers Griffith xxxxperts lost to the Bench Warmers 5 to 4 and after this week anyone can win the comp.
The night started off well for the Bench Warmers with Mick Collins winning on the black against one of the competition's best, captain Craig Willis gave his opponent his first defeat 62 to 24.
Veteran Jim Morrison easily won by 27 and Jeff Murphy gave his team the final single's win.
It was the pairing of Brett Collins and Noel Williams to give the Bench Warmers the victory of the night.
It wasn't all bad news for the Griffith side with Bill Johnson and Ross Trimbolie continuing to be playing great snooker and getting better with each week. Player of the would have to be Mick Collins.
