THE Benchwarmers took on the Leeton Soldiers Club in a back-to-back game from the previous week only to have the score reversed as well. LSC, led by captain Barry Hehir, finished up 6-3 leading 4-2 at the end of the singles. Craig Willis played well against Peter Day taking the first win for the Benchwarmers while Peter Tiffin narrowly took the win over Mick Collins with both needing the black to win. Gary Walsh redeemed himself from the previous week's white wash to win by 15 over Jim Morrison. Andrew Oram also played well against Jeff Murphy to win by 25. Darryl Quinn took an impressive lead against the Benchwarmers captain Brett Collins, winning 62-24. The second win for the Benchwarmers was Noel Williams who won both his singles and doubles taking a highest break for the night of 36 against Barry Hehir partnered by Darryl Quinn scoring a total of 75-42. Craig Willis and Mick Collins took on Peter Day and Peter Tiffin in the doubles with Craig and Mick taking racking up steady points through the game. Craig Willis fouling in the colours allowed bother Peter's to capitalise and win by nine. Both Gary Walsh and Andrew Oram snatched the win needing both pink and black to win against Jim Morrison and Jeff Murphy.
Leeton Auto Gear took on the Griffith's XXXXperts. Steve Ashton played Ian Oliver in a low scoring game with Steve recording LAG's first win for the night to win by just six in the first of four black ball games on the night. The second black ball game was played by Jason Schmidt and Ross Trimboli with Jason narrowly missing out, giving the game to Ross. Paul Salafia played well against Bill Johnson taking pink and black to win by a comfortable 18. Alan Flack had a convincing win over LAG's Michael McColl, 64 to 37. The dead eye of Angelo Paonne proved to be too good for Shaun Gras who fell by 25. Kevin Power took the third win for the XXXXperts winning his singles by 11. Tied at three games a piece going into the doubles, the XXXXperts took the first game of doubles by 34. Luckily for LAG, that where the lead ended for Griffith, taking the next two games winning the night by 5-4.
Tonight, Benchwarmers play XXXXperts. LSC play LAG on Thursday.
