LEETON residents preparing to have their moment in the spotlight in next month's community production of Legally Blonde in Griffith.
Sarah Covell will be playing Paulette Buonofonte, Nadia Nardi as Brooke Wyndham, Elli Gill as Margot, Jessica Murphy as Enid Hoopes and Laura Johnstone as Kate/Delta Nu girl.
Also from Leeton is the musical's choreographer - Michelina Di Salvatore (better known as Miss Mike) of Di Salvatores Dance Academy.
Miss Mike has been teaching the cast their high-energy moves, showcasing the dance skills of the lead cast members and ensemble.
The Leeton residents, along with their castmates, have been rehearsing for many weeks now and putting in the hard yards both as a group and individually in their spare time.
The musical will be shown at the Griffith Regional Theatre for 10 shows from June 5 until June 15.
Griffith regional manager Raina Savage couldn't wait for the production to hit the stage.
"We are bursting with excitement to be presenting our all-singing, all-dancing local cast in this high-octane production," she said.
"This is a really fun, feel-good production - a tale of transformation and following your dreams - which will delight all ages.
"The choreography by Miss Mike is a highlight of the production."
Tickets for the shows are on sale and can be purchased by calling 6962 8444 or online at www.griffithregionaltheatre.com.au.
