After showing improvement last weekend, coach Daniel Muir is looking at the positives from their clash with Turvey Park.
"I thought in the first half, in particular, it looked really promising," he said.
"We probably didn't hit the scoreboard as much as we would have liked, but it looked like things might be turning around for us.
"In the second half, I think we got a bit fatigued and went back to bad habits. A couple of injuries didn't help us either."
Those injuries will have an impact on the makeup of the side with captain Bryce O'Garey out with a hamstring injury while Matt Rainbird looks set to miss the clash after picking up a head wound and needing stitches last weekend.
"We just can't catch a break," he said.
"When we get a couple back from injuries, we seem to lose some more."
With a few of the younger players out with Giants commitments, Muir said he would be turning to some from reserve grade and the under 17s.
The Crows coach knows his side face a tough challenge this weekend in the undefeated Swans.
"We are under no illusions about the task that we face this weekend," he said.
"The Swans are in a premiership window, and we are really in a rebuilding phase.
"We want to take the win no doubt but know it is going to be tough. We have to try and control the game and play it on our terms."
Muir said the focus heading into the clash would be playing footy for the entire 120 minutes and how to get the momentum in the game.
The first-grade clash between the two sides will get underway at 2.10pm.
