By the end of the first half the Phantoms had secured a mighty lead, which they carried on all throughout the second half.
It was a dominating display from the Phantoms, who ended the match sitting on a commanding 60-17 lead.
Phantoms coach Seru Rogo said it was the best match the Phantoms had played in a while, especially given their rocky start to the season.
"It was a good weekend; we really needed a win," Rogo said.
"I hope this is the start of a good push towards the busy end of the finals."
It was a decisive victory that ended the Phantom's four-game losing streak, the most recent loss being at the hands of WAC 1st XV 19 to 54.
Rogo gave a special shoutout to man of the match Meki Cagilau, who really got things going with his hard running and even harder tackles.
"He really stood out on the weekend with his defense," Rogo said.
Meki's plays turned things around after a frightening start for the Phantoms, which saw two tries slip past them in the first few minutes of the game.
But the Phantoms quickly shored up their defenses, turning the pace of the game on its head and carrying the momentum with them for the rest of the game.
The Phantoms played an especially strong second-half, earning themselves several tries while ceding none to the opponent.
But despite the win, Rogo said the team's discipline needed some work; the Phantoms were hit with several yellow cards and even a team red card for some repeat infringements.
That's one area the Phantoms will be focusing on as they head back to training this week in preparation for their match against the Griffith Blacks on Saturday.
The Phantoms are bracing themselves for a tough match; the Blacks 1st Grade team have so far been putting on an intimidating performance this season.
The two teams will go head to head at Griffith Exies Sports Club at 3.20pm on June 22 before facing the Steamers at Murrayfield Oval on June 29.
