POLICE are expecting to lay more charges following a violent brawl inside a licensed premises earlier this month.

Officers were called to the premises in Leeton during the early hours of June 16 after a serious fight broke out involving both males and females.
Acting Inspector Craig Johnson said a young woman was severely injured during the brawl.
"Local Leeton police are continuing to investigate this incident and the circumstances surrounding it," he said.

"A number of charges have already been laid against several people, but we do expect there to be more people charged.
"The charges are serious, involving assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray."
In other matters, Acting Inspector Johnson has warned residents to lock up their belongings to avoid opportunistic criminals in town.
He said there had been a number of recent incidents where vehicles had been broken into and items stolen.
"Take your wallets, your phone inside with you each time," Acting Inspector Johnson said.
"As always, if people see or notice anything suspicious, they should contact Leeton police or Crime Stoppers."
