Leeton took on Wagga United, but were unable to come away with the result.
Alampi said Leeton didn't deserve to win, but didn't deserve to lose either.
"I thought a draw probably would have been the best result on the day, just judging by how the match went," he said.
"They (Wagga United) scored off a long shot, about 30 yards.
"Our keeper said afterwards he should have done better, but there were probably other guys that could have stopped it before it got to him. That's just how it goes sometimes."
Alampi said United had several chances after the first goal was scored to get their own ball in the net, but they weren't able to capitalise.

The loss has pushed Leeton down to sixth on the Pascoe Cup ladder, but the side still has two "catch up" games up their sleeve, which are due to be played on back-to-back days on July 20 and 21 against South Wagga and Henwood Park.
Alampi said the match against Wagga United showed him there were still areas of Leeton's game that needed attention.
"I'm confident we can beat Wagga United (in the future), but we do need to work on a few things," he said.
"We're just giving the ball away too much and we're not clinical enough.
"Those two things have been our biggest problem all year.
"It's something we do talk about, but we do need to be better with the ball when we've got it.
"The boys can play very good football, but it's a matter of doing it for the whole game.
"Not just 20 minutes or 25 minutes."
In other games a well-taken finish by Jamie Rankin with five minutes left secured Lake Albert a 1-0 win over Young, Henwood Park ended Hanwood's unbeaten run with a 1-0 victory at Griffith, Tumut held off Cootamundra 2-1 and Tolland-South Wagga will be replayed after poor weather forced the match to be abandoned.
United will now regroup and turn their focus to this weekend's match against the bottom-placed Cootamundra.
