The Greens were down 16-6, but were able to patiently claw their way back after making some crucial errors in the first half.
They kept the Panthers scoreless in the second and, while there was a chance at kicking a field go, the opportunity didn't go the way of the Greens to get the win.
Coach Paul McGregor was pleased with the outcome.
"It wasn't a win, but it wasn't a loss," he said.
"It does show the girls they can match it with these teams though, so it is good for their confidence.
"I was pretty happy with how we played on the weekend. Our combinations are starting to fall into place and work well."
Leeton are third on the league tag ladder as it continues to become more congested at the top end each week.
The Panthers remain in first with 19, Yanco-Wamoon are second on 18 points and the Greens have 17.
This weekend Leeton will face the Yenda Blueheelers, who are fourth on 10 points.
"It's definitely tight up the top ... our goal at the start of the season was to make that top three to have that second bite of the cherry if we need it," McGregor said.
"At training we've been doing a lot of repetitive things, but I've been telling the girls it's all for a reason come the end of the year.
"At the moment we are taking each game as it comes, so this week we are focused on defeating Yenda."

Meanwhile, Yanco-Wamoon are back on deck this weekend after enjoying a week off thanks to the club bye.
The Hawks will be hosting the sixth-placed Tullibigeal Lakes United on Sunday at Yanco Sportsground.
Coach Monique Higgins said the side was raring to go after the break.
"We had last Thursday off training, but we're back into it (this week)," she said.
"TLU are a bit of a dark horse of the competition.
"They've been building well since the start of the season.
"It's not going to be an easy game and we definitely won't be taking them lightly."
