The Crows traveled to Crossroads Oval on Saturday and were outclassed 84-23 by the ladder-leaders.
It was always going to be a tough game for the young Crows as they continue with their rebuilding year.
The side was also missing some of its troops as a result of the school holidays.
Co-coach Beck McCallum said while the Demons were on top, that was no excuse for the result on the day.
"We had a few missing and the conditions were obviously pretty terrible (weather-wise), but Collingullie had to play in it as well," she said.
"We just didn't really show up to be honest.

"We didn't have a lot of training either during the week, so I think we were on the backfoot going in on game day.
"But still, the girls didn't drop their heads, which was good. It's just they didn't play how we know they can."
This weekend will be another huge game for the Crows as they take on second-placed MCUE.
However, the side should be bolstered with the return of several players.
The game will no doubt prove testing and A grade will likely miss the finals unless they win every game from here on out, which would be a mammoth effort.
"Last time we played Mango we kept up with them for three quarters," McCallum said.
"So it was pretty even. It was just the last quarter where they blew us out of the water. Having a few players back will definitely help and we know we can push them.
"A reserve will hopefully be making finals, so that's a positive for us." In B grade, the Crows are currently fifth, third in C grade and the under 17s are on top.
