Jade Hodge will play his 100^th match for Leeton-Whitton against Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes in front of a home crowd and will be hoping to again lead from the front for his side.

In recent weeks Hodge has stepped it up a notch, booting several bagfuls of goals to help the Crows pick up their first two wins of the season.

Hodge has many memories playing for Leeton-Whitton, but there's no doubt winning the drought-breaking premiership as a playing coach in 2016 was a major highlight.

MCUE will be out to put a dampener on his 100^th game celebrations, but Crows coach Daniel Muir is keen to pick up another scalp.

The Goannas are fifth on the Riverina Football League table having picked up five wins this season.

Leeton-Whitton have proven in the last month they are capable of winning matches having defeated Narrandera and Collingullie-Glenfield Park. Prior to that they pushed the Griffith Swans and Coolamon Hoppers in their matches.

"It's a bit of a relief for everyone to finally get the results we know we're capable of," Muir said. "It's also just seeing that belief in the boys ... now we've won a couple you can really see that belief there.

"The hard work is paying off.

"They've been working bloody hard all year, probably harder than ever before."

With the Goannas clinging to fifth on the ladder, Muir said it would be not only good to defeat them in front of a home crowd on Saturday, but start having an impact on who makes finals, even if the Crows themselves are out of contention.

"It would be good to claim a big scalp," Muir said.

"They are very well-drilled side. We just need to focus on our strengths."
