Mrs Maskus was recently honoured for her 40-year group to Leeton's Inner Wheel club.
Forty years is a long time to stick with anything, but it is something Mrs Maskus has enjoyed.
She is also part of several other community organisations, including the Leeton branch of Can Assist.
It has been a busy winter period for the Inner Wheel club thanks to several events, including the annual changeover dinners at both a local and district level.
The district changeover was held in Wagga, where a member from that city - Robyn Gillespie - was inducted as Inner Wheel Australia president.
In Leeton, the role of president went to Tonetta Fiumara, who took over from outgoing president Margaret Henman.
Leeton's changeover dinner was attended by about 60 people, who also witnessed Mrs Maskus be honoured for her 40-year contribution to the club.
"At the changeover it was with pleasure to have district chairman of A54 Densye Melton induct three new members into the Leeton club," club member Lenore Ditton said. '
"(They were) Una Williams, Sue Ekin and Coila Murray.
"We hope they many happy times in the future."
After a year of hard work one of the best parts of each changeover dinner, according to the members, is the disbursement of funds that have been raised throughout the past 12 months.

As well as these community projects and fundraising, there is still room for fun, with members joining others from Yenda and Griffith East clubs to play 10-pin bowling, have a coffee and catch up.
Coffee mornings in Leeton are also a regular feature on the monthly calendar.
"We look forward to a new year of fundraising and fun under the helm of Tonetta Fiumara and her committee," Mrs Ditton said.
New members are also welcome.
Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month, but not in January, at the Leeton library from 7.30pm.
