It was a hard lesson for Leeton to learn and one coach Warren Weir wants to fix with the finals now knocking at the door. Weir labelled Sunday's game as "atrocious".
"I actually thought after the first 10 minutes that we were going quite well, we had scored twice," he said.
"Then we bombed a third one about five minutes later.
"We should have been up 18-0. But we made a bad mistake and it all went downhill from there."
The Greens have sewn up fifth position on the first grade ladder and that is where they now want to stay as staying in that spot will secure them a home semi-final.
That's not to say they don't want to defeat Yanco-Wamoon this weekend, it's just other results that may impact where they finish on the ladder.
However, Weir said before Leeton can even start thinking about finals, they need to fix what went wrong against the Roosters.
"Basically our warm up was poor, we didn't train well at all on Friday night, there were blokes rocking up at different times all night," he said.
"I think there was a bit of cockiness there after we beat Waratahs the week before.
"We need to focus on our mental toughness. I know we are fit enough and physical enough, but it's our attitude that needs work."
Weir was planning a team meeting and session on Monday night to go through several of these issues with the side.

Also not helping Leeton's case on Sunday afternoon was several injuries.
Tyler Dunn is out for the rest of the year and, possibly the next two seasons, after injuring his ACL.
Dan Fisher re-injured a bad cork on Sunday, with Josh Fisher also coming off with a serious neck and back complaint.
"Some of the guys weren't right from the week before (with injuries), but we had no choice but to play them because the depth has fallen away a bit," Weir said.
"Tyler is obviously out now, but hopefully everyone else can start to come back.
"Kirtis Fisher will probably miss this weekend and Rhys Wilesmith still has one week left on his suspension."
