Never before has the league tag team made a grand final in the Group 20 competition.
The Hawks were able to book their place after defeating the Griffith Black and Whites 18-16 in what was a thrilling match that not only went down to the wire, but went into golden point time with coach Monique Higgins getting the job done with a penalty goal.
Yanco-Wamoon will now sit back and wait to see who their opponent is, but it could very well be a derby grand final match up.
The Leeton Greens are through to the preliminary final after their impressive 60-0 victory over West Wyalong on the weekend.
They will face the Griffith Black and Whites on Sunday as they make their play to make the big dance.
Higgins said it was a great feeling for Hawks team to make the grand final after the side fought back to claim their spot on Sunday.
"They are an awesome bunch of girls," she said.
"They never give up, never drop their heads."
Yanco-Wamoon were also able to pick up the victory without key player Tess Staines, who was unavailable for the clash.
She will return for the grand final, but it gives the side confidence they can get the job done even if they are missing a key player or two.
The Greens meanwhile are looking to have a solid week at training as they prepare for the Black and Whites.
The Panthers were able to get one over Leeton in week one of the Group 20 finals when they won 16-0.

However, the match was close even though the Greens weren't able to get on the board.
Coach Paul McGregor knows his side is capable of defeating the Black and Whites, which could then set up an extraordinary grand final showdown.
In terms of preparation, the side plans to stick to the status quo ahead of the Panthers match up.
"We'll just keep everything the same now," McGregor said.
"We haven't changed too much all year. We've simplified a few things.
"We're back to Sunday footy so it's good.
"I think Black and Whites really executed their game well against us (in week one) ... they defended really well.
"That preparation is the key and making sure their heads are in the right spot."
