United was required to win its last two games of the home and away season in order to make the finals, successfully defeating Hanwood and Lake Albert to do just that.
On Sunday they will line up for an elimination final against Young knowing there's no second chances.
Their efforts in the last fortnight will give them confidence ahead of the clash with the Lions, who they had a draw with earlier this month.
Young are known for playing defensively and Alampi said it would be essential for Leeton to just play their own style of football.
"We don't want to get drawn into what they are doing, we just need to focus on ourselves," he said.

"It's about that and being clinical when we have those chances.
"We've basically already played two weeks of finals, we've just got to keep going and take every game as it comes."
The coach may have some selection headaches this weekend.
Several players have niggling injuries, but Alampi is hopeful they will be set to play.
Those players include Pablo Quarin, Conor Edenden and Munya Kawara.
Defender Lewis Saunders is unavailable for selection thanks to a prior commitment, but in good news, Nick Trifogli, Dan McKenzie, Ethan Murphy and Jarred Flynn who were all out suspended last weekend will all be available for selection.
It's a big weekend ahead for the club, with reserve grade, third grade and the women's all featuring in the finals series.
With so much riding on Sunday's game, Alampi was hopeful his side would maintain cool heads.
"We've got to be disciplined, take our chances and be clinical," he said.
"It's what we keep saying, but that's what is going to get us the win."
