The 33-year-old blitzed the rest of the field to clock a personal best time of 34.21, well ahead of Neil Sprietzer (37.02) and Ben Conkey (38.33).
After winning the City to Lake in record time in 2002 retired triathlete Brad Kahlefeldt returned to win last year's Lake Run and Ride, but this time it was 33-year-old Jared's turn to lap up the plaudits. More here
