Yanco Cricket Club has made a strong start to the LDCA A-grade season following a 25-run win over Narrandera at Yanco Sportsground on Saturday.

After winning the toss, the Stags were able to make a strong start on their home deck getting to 26 after three overs before Jordan Camm (18) fell to the bowling of Mark Tillyard (1/21)
Fellow opener Jason Burke (5) fell in the first ball of the following over when he was bowled by Jason Williams (1/22), but the Stags were able to find their footing again with Josh Lanham and Jock Yelland at the crease.
The third-wicket partnership was able to get the Stags to 54 after eight overs before they lost another two quick wickets with Yelland (5) falling to the bowling Tom Butterfield (1/18) while Brodie Perram (1/8) had Dan Hillam (1) out stumped by Anthony Craig.

While his partners continued to fall around him, Lanham ensured his side would be able to post a competitive total.
Reece Keech (1/8) picked up the wicket of Tye Clancy (3) before Jonathon Doyle (2/9) picked up the wickets of Lanham (38) and Andrew Kouzan (5) while Rohan Rehwinkel (2/10) picked up Rohan Lacey (1) and Rory Walsh (1).
Thomas Camm (6*) and Vincent Edwards (3*) added some late runs to see their side reach 9/99 off their 20 overs.
Trouble struck the Carpheds once they reached 19 with Lanham (1/5) dismissing Doyle (3) which saw Narrandera start to lose regular wickets.
The Carpheads lost five wickets for just one run with Jordan Camm (2/9) and Kouzan (3/6) doing the damage, and they were never really able to recover.
Just 14 runs later the Narrandera side were in trouble again as Thomas Camm (2/10) picked up the wickets of Mark Tilyard (4) and Jack Rilen (0) in consecutive deliveries.
While he didn't get his hat-trick, Jordan Camm was able to trap Craig (7) in front of his stumps while Lacey (1/9) knocked over Brodie Perram (4).
The Carpheads were able to see out their 20 overs with Jack Williamson (12*) and Keech (3*) able to see off the remaining overs to see the Carps finish on 9/64 to hand Yanco a 35-run win.
