Following on from the popularity of their annual community balls, the Leeton Community Op Shop is launching their first Christmas party to help schoolchildren doing it tough.
All money raised from the event will go to the Op Shop's Christmas Program, which gives vouchers to Leeton schools for them to give to children who need it the most.
Organiser Narelle Weymouth said she wanted to make sure no child was left out this Christmas, no matter what their economic circumstances were.
"People who really need help don't come and knock on your door, but the schools know who are struggling," Mrs Weymouth said.
"It's a way to reach the broader community."
Organiser Kim Doss said the party had an emphasis on inclusiveness, and she said there's something there for everyone regardless of demographic.
"It doesn't matter whether you're 18 or 80, you'll enjoy it," Mrs Doss said.
The party will kick off on November 16 at MIA Function Centre, which open its doors at 4.30pm.
Entertainment will start at 5pm with live performances from local musicians and bands including Remedy, Cracker Jack, and Done Deal.
A mix-and-mingle event with platters will begin at 5.30pm to 6.30pm, and the main Christmas dinner will start from 7.30pm.
Tickets are on sale at the community op shop for $50, and they will be available until close of business on Friday afternoon.
