It was the girls that dominated round four of the Twilight Golf Competition, which ended with some much-needed rain for the community and the course just as we near the end of our watering system installation. The star of the week is Sheree Camm from Larry's Mates. Sheree smashed the inside nine holes, with a ripping 10 under Par nett 26 to be the player of the round.

Other great scores from the girls included Dee Sparkes, 28; Carly McInnes, 30; Catherine Gray, 31; Adelaide Heins and Candice Evans, 32, with Kimmy Handsaker and Lizzie Harrison rounding out the top female performers with 33.
Best of the blokes was Joe Pene and Sam Brown, 28; Chris Bradley and Adam O'Callaghan, 29, with Steve Turner, Ryan Thurgood, Adam Mannes and first-rounder Andrew Tagilala all producing 31. Adam Mannes may come under further handicap scrutiny, as could Nathan Carn and anyone else who has had 4 x 36 netts thus far. The ball comp shut down at 34 and better and there were 228 rounds played which is a great result considering the inclement weather.
Team scores were super low considering we've had a month of golf so far. New team Air Benders were huge improvers, with 156 nett, 3 strokes clear of Tee'd Off and Larry's Mates who were both on 159 team totals. The Par-Tee-Chicks went low also with 160 nett - just a lazy 20 under Par which is about what it takes to win a PGA Tour event these days!
Overall leaders are still Mim's Minions but now by only a solitary stroke after another lacklustre performance.
The MS Charity Golf day will be held on Sunday, November 17. It's Leeton's biggest Charity Golf Day and always a favourite on the golfing calendar, get a group of four from your Twilight Team and help raise funds for a great cause - and have a ripping day on course while you're at it.
Hilly played like a tour veteran for the most part last week and threw in a 9 on the 17th that included a frat, one in the water and finished it off with a 3 putt. The team Larry's Mates are enjoying its first season of Twilight together and have plenty of potential with Doc and Christine Wallace, some new players and the still a bit rusty Carl King who'll no doubt come good when the money's on around finals time.
