Hundreds of community members gathered at Parkview Public School to celebrate Grandparents Day, with the annual event a top way to mark the contributions made by older members of the community to the lives of children in education.
Children shared a delicious Devonshire morning tea supplied by the Parkview P&C canteen before sharing in some laughs and games.
Students and their grandparents engaged in traditional games such as marbles, hookey, elastics, handball and skipping before heading to classrooms to take part in more contemporary educational activities.
This included showing grandparents how they utilise modern learning devices such as robotics, iPads and interactive whiteboards on a daily basis.
Grandparents Day co-ordinator Elisha Taylor was happy with how the day unfolded.
