It all started with a stroke last Wednesday, then veterans on Thursday, a highly successful corporate day on Friday - with 24 local businesses participating - a versus par on Saturday and the Volkswagen Scramble on Sunday.
The scramble provided an upset, with the Leeton team of Shane McInnes, Aaron Leeson-Worley, Peter Harrison and Matthew Boots putting all the locals to the sword, combining to card 53 1/4 nett to qualify for the regional final.
In second was Craig Barrington, Mark Townsend, Andrew Scott and Anthony Kelly with 53 7/8 nett. Third went to Sim Tuitivake, Lama Lolotonga, Noa Ngarau and Tiuru Phillip (55.5 nett). Griffith will look to make amends when the next qualifier is played at Leeton.

A single versus par attracted 64 players on Saturday. Jeff Wiscombe (+4) won A Grade ahead of Keiron Edwards (+3). Michael Aventi (+4) won B Grade ahead of Toby Maher (+1). Byron James was best in C Grade, also on +4, with Ray Barrington (+1) second. Neil Mahaffey and Tony McBride won the Pro Pins. Par Threes: 4th IanArstall, 7th Terry Greedy, 11th John Badoco, 16th Chris Fuchs. Vouchers to +1.
This coming Saturday, November 22, there will be a foodie day on the practice fairway from noon-8pm. There will be all sorts of food stalls plus entertainment and a publican's booth.
Junior clinics continue on Sundays at 10am; all gear provided for a cost of $10.
The Riding for Disabled Golf Day is on Friday, November 29. It's a four-person ambrose with a shotgun start at 10am. Today's and Saturdays events are single stablefords; Sunday is ambrose.
The veterans played a single stableford last Thursday with 31 players. Tony McBride continued on his winning way, taking out 0-18 Grade with 40 points ahead of John Gale, 37 points. Garnett Reade, 39 points, won 19-27 Grade from Allan King. Gordon Druitt made it two in a row, winning 288-36 Grade on 38 points from Helen Voles (33 points), second on a countback. Peter Henderson birdied the 4th to take that pin, 8th Don Catanzariti, 15th Graeme Gifford. Vouchers to 34 points.
Another single stableford will be played this week. Last Friday's corporate days winners in a three-person ambrose were Elders Rural (John Dalton, James Lethlean, Jason Magoci), 58.17 nett, from Solar Mad (Briann Sullivan, J.P. Van Der Mere, Adrian Smith), 58.67 nett. In third was Casella Wines (Chris Richards, Jayden Wood, Vince Bugge), 59.17 nett.
A single stroke was played last Wednesday. Robin Salvestro, 69 nett, won 0-18 Grade from Tony De Marco, 72 nett. John Payne, 63 nett, won 19-27 Grade from Frank Zambon, 69 nett.
