A MAN suffered serious leg and pelvic injuries after the vehicle he was driving veered off the road on Friday afternoon.

The single-vehicle accident occurred on Kolkilbertoo Road in between Barellan and Weethalle around 2.40pm.
A 25-year-old male from West Wyalong was behind the wheel of a dual can utility when police said it veered off the road, hitting a tree before coming to a stop in a table drain.
Emergency services were called to the scene, with police, paramedics and the Leeton Volunteer Rescue Association all racing to assist.

The man was taken to Griffith Base Hospital, There were reports the man had to be airlifted for further care, but police could not confirm if this was the case.
Officers are waiting to speak to the driver as they continue their investigations into the accident.
