Looking back on your life, can you think of somebody who gave you a realistic but stretching opportunity to succeed? Perhaps it was a teacher at school, a coach in sports or a manager at work. Or maybe a volunteering experience
How did they give you this opportunity? What did you do right to grasp it? Looking to the future, how can you give somebody the chance to succeed
Everybody has talents.
The art lies in seeing what these talents are and then spotting the opportunity where somebody can succeed.
The team at the Leeton Community Op Shop witness the power of giving and grasping such possibilities daily
We have volunteers and staff using their talents or discovering their talents every day and then move onto employment opportunities in the wider community or happily showing and sharing their talents to grow others - "the best way to learn is to teach".
The Leeton Community Op Shop is continually building relationships with local employment providers, community groups and our local high schools to provide a space where a person can grow, shine, develop their talents and build confidence.
We hope the Leeton Community Op Shop will be remembered as a place that gave them the opportunity to shine - a chance to fly.
