The Christmas weather forecast is in and it's looking like a typical, hot Aussie Christmas.
Temperatures will start to gradually climb from Christmas Eve right through until early next week.
Smoke haze is likely and the mercury is expected to reach 40 and beyond for at least five consecutive days from Boxing Day through until Monday.
Given the current bushfire emergency across the state, smoke haze will again be likely throughout the region.
With the hot weather comes the usual health and safety warnings, with residents urged to keep a particular eye on young ones, the elderly, pregnant women and those with any pre-existing health conditions.
Santa himself has also weighed in on how to cope with the heat during the Christmas period, letting us know some of his best tips to stay cool.
