After winning last season's Albury Pacers Cup, the Oscar Livermore-trained mare claimed the Leeton Pacers Cup after putting in a strong finish on Wednesday night.
And she did so in track record time.
Her mile rate of 1:59.3 for the 2582 metres shaved 0.2 seconds off the previously best.
The record was first set by Frosty Warrior in 2003 and then equalled by Sporty Spook in 2016.
Livermore was pleased to see her get back to winning ways.
"It has been a while but she has been racing right out of her class," Livermore said.
"She went around in a (Victorian) country cup the other day and has been out of a bit of form, but she's only had two runs back from a spell after one trial.
"I've had to cart her everywhere to get a start and she was a bit underdone as she missed a race at Albury the other day when it didn't stand up.
"It was nearly a month in between runs and I've been pouring the work into her to get her to run the 2500."
The only horse to taste success over the marathon trip in the $15,300 feature, Clara Clare powered over her rivals late to bring up her first win since July.
She went on to down $2.50 favourite Rusty Crackers by 2.1 metres when given last shot the field by reinsman Cameron Maggs after settling at the rear from her second row draw.
She'd been unplaced in her last seven starts, including being beaten 18.8 metres in the Gunbower Cup last time out but one thing Livermore knew was she would handle the 2582 metres.
"She is pretty handy," he said.
"She's went 52 at Wagga and won an Albury Cup so I knew she would get the distance."
There was plenty of speed throughout the race with Moreau Drive let stride out in front before Rusty Crackers came around the field to sit without cover.
Livermore thought the tempo suited better.
"At Gunbower they walked before running 26.9 up the back and 28.3 home and you can't make any ground," he said.
"She's had a succession of bad barrier draws through the rating system but has been working well."
The Albury trainer was thrilled to add another cup to his collection with the six-year-old, who brought up her 11th win at start 38.
Brooke McPherson went close to a feature double at Leeton.
She took out the Ladies Drivers Invitational on the in-form Major Bob for Mark Fletcher before Rusty Crackers couldn't quite sustain his run in the feature race of the strong Carnival Of Cups program.
