Round two will get underway tonight after round one had several competitive games right off the bat.
In the men's division, the Hornets, Tigers and Dragons all had wins, while in the women's the Dragons, Hornets and Ducks got on the board.
The matches were the first opportunity for players to get back into the competitive spirit since the end of the 2019 season.
With the Cup open to players from all codes, it gives all a chance to test out their pre-season fitness.
The closest match of the night in the men's went to the encounter between the Leeton Hotel Marlins and the Wade Hotel Hornets, with the latter picking up a seven-point victory, 26-19.
In the women's, it was the lowest-scoring match of the evening, which was also the closest.
The Hydro Ducks also enjoyed a seven-point victory, taking down the Soldiers Club Tigers 16-9.
Those sides without a win to their name will be hopeful round two brings them some fortune in the six-week competition.
